Prompt template for o1 that I've found yields higher quality answers. ``` Who is the most credible scholar arguing [argument]? To the best of your ability, please argue the strongest case for and the strongest case against the above. Please take your time and carefully consider how your arguments might be incorrect. ```

There’s a good article that’s relevant for how best to get mileage out of o1 https://open.substack.com/pub/swyx/p/o1-skill-issue?r=ii8a1&utm_medium=ios

I’ll have to try this one out! To learn anything new, I like using this prompt: ``` Teach me [TOPIC] using a semantic tree. Start with the trunk (core principles), then branches (major subtopics), then leaves (fine details). For each level: 1. Summarize the key points. 2. Provide examples or analogies. 3. Include short exercises or questions to test my knowledge. 4. If you detect gaps, ask clarifying questions and reinforce the fundamentals. 5. Wait for my explicit confirmation before moving to the next level. Don’t proceed until I say I understand. Let’s begin with the trunk. ```
