I'm not happy with every decision regarding the channel updates, but I do appreciate: - Prioritizing Channels: Channels are the most interesting primitives on Warpcast/Farcaster, and I'm glad to see the team prioritizing getting them right. - Community Engagement: I appreciate the time given for the community to digest, prepare, and provide feedback on these changes. It shows leadership and respect for user opinions, even when dealing with a diverse set of needs. - Creating Meaningful Spaces: I love the move towards creating "meaningful spaces" rather than glorified hashtags. You wanted interesting content, and I think this is the right direction for creating net new kinds of content. I'm particularly excited about creator-focused channels (e.g., /cameron or /six), as you've now created something akin to text-based Twitch streams. Functional channels like /bounties also feel like more meaningful job boards. I foresee some really cool experimentation in this direction. Overall, great execution by the team.

Minor things. Mostly handling of smaller accounts and how "spam" is evaluated. I don't have a better solution for handling it, so it would be moot to critique it. A lot of smaller accounts do feel "purged," so to speak, so I'm trying my best, at least for my channels, to get people acquainted with the new normal. In an ideal world, it would be possible for anyone to cast in a channel if the owner decided. Spam could be moderated out if needed, but not necessary. Wouldn't be any different than how spam is handled in Discord servers (which also isn't perfect).
