PSA on direct casts

We're migrating everyone to a new, simpler direct cast system in the next hour or so. 

The new system allows you to keep messages *forever*.

Your previous direct casts are available in read-only mode for the next 28 days.

Goal is to have DCs on web in the next couple of weeks.

Is there a writeup on how the new DC system works? Interested in the technical changes

Building ENS since forever.

Interested in identity, cryptography, climbing, health.

A centralized simple system. No special technical implementation. Optimizing for web and speed of iteration based on feedback from users.

No but it was e2ee with Double Ratchet (Signal’s algo)

Has warpcast tried xmtp or have any opinion about it?

i don’t know much about it but just curious as we were considering using it
