New default “who can message me” setting: 

Followers + Recommended

We’ve seen an uptick in spam, so we’re moving everyone who is currently on Everyone to Followers + Recommended. 

Our goal with Recommended is to maximize good users who can send you a message.

If you are Only Followers, you’re unchanged.

This was a typo -- meant Following

we made it clearer: People I follow

Actually realizing this should read Following* !

“People I follow” is a very good option as well. 

And maybe instead of Followers plus recommended, “followers plus mutuals” where the mutuals are people your follows follow? Is this how “recommended” is determined currently? Or is it based on accounts with highest total followers?

I’d say fc is interesting; not yet useful as I haven’t found news, niche insights, a group or app I need to log in to daily 🙂

Agree also on importance of onboarding the next wave/niche qUsers, whether that’s

a) crypto natives (dot, atom, defi..)
b) language specific
c) interest specific (> soccer client)
