New Warpcast feature Passkeys - automatically back up your Farcaster recovery phrase to your iCloud Keychain. You remain in control of the phrase. - it’s secured by FaceID, so no password to remember - rolling out today for uses on iOS 17, coming to Android soon

This is awesome, but every time I login this screen comes up. Would like to make it go away until I want to set it up

Today has been too busy for proper OpSec research and also general distrust of Apple. Need to dig some into technicals later before giving trust, but also want to check my WC feed. It’s a small thing tbh

So just to push — if Warpcast thinks it’s legit then security threat is no different than status quo in that if you don’t trust us… :) cc @cassie who can weigh in on security trade offs honestly

iCloud Keychain utilizes E2EE via the hardware enclave and is strictly confined to your devices that you have associated with the iCloud account and have the iCloud Keychain feature enabled. That being said, if you want to dismiss the prompt you can click continue then cancel the onboarding action so it stops prompting
