Why Warplet matters 1. Most people don’t have a crypto wallet. 2. On Farcaster, without a wallet, you’re missing a key feature—earning money just by engaging. 3. But if everyone who signs up gets a wallet, money can flow seamlessly through rewards, tips, or airdrops. 4. This means more people with balances, which benefits developers building onchain frames. 5. And when someone taps a frame, they can act onchain instantly.

Addendum 1. Yes most people on Farcaster *today* have a crypto wallet. But the goal is to have many more people than we have today (and that are already cryptonative). 2. We think choice is important — that's why we continue to support other wallets like Rainbow and Coinbase Wallet via MWP. We may add other wallets over time, too. 3. You don't have to use the wallet if you don't want to. Especially important for advanced users who want to be able to export their seed phrase (coming soon!). 4. It's still early—we're shipping something basic and usable. But there's a whole universe of ideas that are only possible if you can make a strong assumption that 1) the user is interested in a social network 2) has a wallet.

Downloading a social media app that has a wallet included is magnitudes better than downloading the app + downloading a wallet app, connecting, sending funds, etc... Especially for non crypto natives. Huge unlock 💯

This is a fantastic update - kudos to the team. Might I suggest, though, that PINs be implemented as a security measure? A toggle option could be added for users who don’t want it.

Suggestion: 4 digit pin - users input upon opening the wallet - options to enable the pin for txns over X amount I feel security is paramount a 4 digit pin would be a decent barrier here.

Exporting the seed phrase is not enough. Even the faint hint that there is a spreadsheet with everyone’s private keys is an absolute travesty.
