this bot-liking scandal has me wondering, once again, whether we've got this whole social media thing wrong i really liked farcaster 6+ months ago. the scenius was palpable. not that i'm against letting new people in, but now it feels more like we're back to the standard social media - strangers one-upping themselves

My 2 cents: Since there are more users, it is harder for active users to see your casts (therefore, less reactions/replies). In the past, it was way easier to reach active users. I still see great conversations happening, but I usually have to find them, instead of those convos showing up (through trending/searches)
