There’s an opportunity for @farcaster to bring in the /tezos community by adding Tezos connected addresses the way they did with Solana. While I’m not in the Tez community I’ve seen that there’s a vibrant community, far better than what I’ve seen from Solana. Would love to see them shown some love.

I’m not surprised. There is an anti-eth sentiment amongst Solana users that probably scared them away. I don’t see that being an issue with Tezos users. I also don’t believe it would be very scientific to attribute this lack of success to the broader idea of including non-ETH communities.

1. Where do Tezos people spend time today? 2. Why isn't /tezos more active? 3. Who is building in Tezos ecosystem? Solana has a large community of developers which has been the cohort of users that have stuck around on Farcaster the most.

Before the Solana addresses were added there was a bunch of hype built up on twitter. Again as I'm not a Tezos user this is low stakes for me, but I've made a cast to drum up some attention. If you feel like providing a good-faith comparison, you might do the same ☺️

Seems to me that most folks using Tezos are artists, not devs.. & it’s one of the reasons I haven’t generally minted there as an artist since 2021 tbh, bc it also seems to me that unless the chain is active w both artists & devs, prob not going to stick around all that much in terms of relevance. Need both/all.

So many tezos artists are joining. See /weird /femotion /glitch-art + a numbers of artists I’ve never gotten to interact with. Solana community is REALLY different from Tezos Also pardon of those channel links are wrong. I’m on nook right now

Hey there, Adi here! Just launched last Thurs with @tesserart, and we're gobsmacked by the experience & the opportunities it opens, given we're stuck on Tezos island. But diving in.. 1. They'd spend more time if access barriers can be removed w/ a simplified tez connect. Kukai and/or us are working on it as we speak.

Interesting stat. 7 of the top 50 in the degen leaderboard for airdrop 2 are all super active on tezos and cut their teeth there. There is already a very active community here who've come from tezos in the last month.

I have minted most of my work on Tezos for the past two years, a hundred works and collected much more. Objkt is a great place, best UI imo. X is the most tezos friendly platform so far. Tezos art is just overall the best for some reason. I firmly believe we need it here!

There's a difference between tezos people and tezos artists. All the best art is on tezos, but most artists of tezos don't align with the views of the tezos foundation. /tezos is more broad but /objkt is strictly art. There are some tezos builds already like teia and @tesserart

1. For a lot of us, mainly here. More come everyday. 2. Depends on what ‘active’ is. Tez community is art based. Most successful Tez native artists went cross chain but brought the (H=N) mentality with them. Most keep minting there. 3. @beets / @hereandnow built 6 ed. of the greatest web3 interactive experiences.

I mint my art almost exclusively on Tezos still. It's my favorite place for art. I don't trust that Solana will be here in 50 years so I don't mint or collect there.

Make it easier to pay on Android and you will have more tez people. I'm seeing a lot of people struggling with this Android payment (like me, needed to ask a friend to pay on iphone)

1. all the biggest art/cryptoart/gif-art/glitch-art channels are filled with tez artworks. or run by tez artists. they're just not announcing the fact, but we all know and see each other there. also many of the biggest eth artists are also on tez. 2. see above

Also need to remember how established (and comfortable) the Tezos community was on the bird site and the significant friction of moving. There were mostly failed moves to Masto/Bluesky or back to tumblr as people searched for a bird alternative. Farcaster is the only one to approach critical mass.
