Have seen a few casts recently on how we should attract more developers to Farcaster In talking to developers building on Farcaster today—and developers who built on Farcaster previously and then stopped—the top request is more users. Why more users? - More users on Farcaster means more people to potentially use their product - If the product is a business, more usage means more opportunity to make money - Acquiring users for an app or service is *really* hard

So what are you doing to attract more users? 1. Continue to iterate on and scale opportunities for users to make money — Farcaster native assets, frames, USDC rewards, etc. 2. Continue to work on the the core features of the social network. These features create retention. 3. Additionally, we're scaling the underlying protocol with Snapchain. The current version of Hubs don't scale another 10x. That's what we are focused on. There are no other priorities at the moment.

More users is also the first thing I hear as objection in sales calls. Second is API stability and it always changing so is Farcaster „worth“ it. (Wait more users solves that ) Yep more users We‘re all working on more devs with docs + all the cool apps built here anyway

agree on all one consideration is Frames outside of Farcaster is a great hook in Farcade would be an awesome way to get people in

more devs = better projects = more users? using WAU (only concrete data I could find): Week of April 1 saw ATH in Degen tipping (~28,109) which was ~27.5% of Farcaster WAU (~102,237) Week of March 11 saw ATH frames usage (~12,973) which was ~21.51% of Farcaster WAU (~60,322) usage up by Degen and frames = usage up for other projects across Farcaster built around the two flashes in the pan and not necessarily sustainable but more shots on net lead to more users

I don't think you should attract more developers. Although I am worried that the existing ones, who have gained expertise, are leaving. Sufficiently scaling DAUs is clearly the priority, but retaining top builders is also important.

I'm new to Farcaster and have found it tougher for me to curate a feed of great content (vs years of following devs on X), any tips? (say web2, ai, practical crypto.. less fartcoin but $DEGEN ✅). Not sure if i'm just dumb or others feel it too. I find the app itself super smooth, great job there!
