A few tips for mini app devs: 1. Simplify screens 2. Bigger buttons / touch targets 3. Remove unnecessary crypto complexity (or hide it in an advanced view) I'm using the excellent @crowdfund mini app as an example below. 1. Consider moving anything optional to after you complete the primary action, so in this case the comment would come after the donation 2. Make the primary action -- adding an amount -- big, front and center 3. USDC + logo, the wallet selected are not useful for 95% of people 4. The available balance is useful, so consider making that a clear secondary piece of info 5. Make the primary button big and easy to tap on a mobile device.

I shared this feedback with the Crowfund team unsolicited. To be clear I think their mini app is already excellent. In my opinion, this would make it better by simplifying it and making it more accessible to less cryptonative audience.

As an aside: I'd like to see Warpcast (and any wallet that supports mini apps) adopt a standard for common and well-understood onchain actions, e.g. sending USDC. So instead of 1) Approve 2) Send as two pop ups, consolidate into one with clear language (and assuming you're doing the security scanning and offering a more advanced user the ability to inspect). Imagine having to swipe your credit card twice when paying for a coffee.

BAD advice, sorry dan but what token you use for payments (usdc or other) should be shown. You can also think of it as this: spending 5 usdc is way easier (mentally) than paying 5$

From Assistant #1: General rule for fundraising is 2 clicks to complete a donation, every click beyond that has an abandonment rate of ~60%.

Super helpful insight. I love Crowdfund too but hadn’t thought about how even small tweaks like this could make a big difference for broader adoption

I am very grateful to all the developers of this wonderful app, you are having a crucial impact not only on Warpcast, but also on the whole industry, so all young developers could see how you shouldn't do it. It feels like the dacade faded, but Warpcum is still in the 2000's era of the internet. Investors throw money into the abyss of Warpcumdumster homing to get something in return, but all they will get is cock in their mouth.

5. Don't grey out important and useful text elements in the UI on white background. Use different thickness or size to create visual hierarchy. Otherwise you sacrifice accessibility.

Any good examples of websites that are responsive to mini apps - ie show up different in Warpcast vs browser? Debating on small adjustments to the main app or rebuilding a new full fledged mini app 🤔

Dwr.eth, these tips for mini app devs are incredibly insightful! Simplifying screens, enlarging touch targets, and streamlining crypto - related complexity are spot - on suggestions. Using the @crowdfund mini app as an example really drives the points home. It's clear you've put a lot of thought into user - friendly design, and I'm sure these tips will be invaluable to developers looking to enhance their mini apps.
