The changes to channels basically makes them completely useless for new users, small accounts, and/or users on the WC naughty list (aka active=false). Crazy to think channels was a feature I lifted up as a key reason for migrating from the blue app to WC back when I was actively recruiting people here. πŸ˜”

As a small account, while at first seemed terrible, honestly I'm kinda settled and happy with the channels I'm in. I'm still unable to access channels such as /science, /zora, or /superrare, though. I'm still struggling to grow here, but it's been a liiiittle better. Getting rid of the spammer label helped as well.

From what I gather the channels were intended to be "cozy corner" communities, but they ended up becoming more like hashtags/hack for growth. Personally, I think if the latter worked then it worked, just run with it, even if it wasn't the outcome you expected. I was recruiting based on channels too as I thought it was a great way to find and connect with like-minded people. Anyway, some of the best inventions like sticky notes were accidents. Just pivot and ride it. πŸ–x100 40πŸ‘ 75 $Aba
