I wrote this back in 2012 I knew this girl a long time ago. Lovely, young, pretty, fun. She seems on the outside to have it all and have it all together. She lived a life of spontaneous fun while still holding it all together. She lived for the sake of living because she knew that nothing was ever a guarantee. She had already seen that proven many times over. She was tough as nails, played hard, loved deeply, trusted because she felt trustworthy. She only wanted those same things out of the world that she put in. In her youth and trustworthy nature she believed that the people around her and wanting to be around her were the same as her. She was always an open book, always had the best intentions with her actions.............

So she had a tendency to look for these things in other people regardless at what level they posessed them. In her overestimations of those that she chose to trust she was wound up into a tornado instead of the soft breeze she seeked. Her exterior being as tough as it was was up for the challenge but as time went on it began to chip and crack, as most things do when exposed to extreme conditions. As the exterior became weak, the inner workings began to be pulled into the storm no matter how hard she tried to keep it all held together. Through it all she believed ultimately in herself, who she was, what she wanted in the end. She used it to help her keep her focus. Through all the neck breaking turns and twists she managed to hold onto the core of who she was. She thought a lot about what she did to end up in such a storm of meaness and hate that threatened to change her.

She realized she had her own responsibility for walking down that road that the storm was on even though she was throughly warned. Warned by those that truly loved her and cared for her. All their efforts didnt seem to matter to her then. Oblivious in youth and chewed up by time. As she held tightly and reflected she began to learn who she really was and that she was the only one that could be like her. Others could be similar but not exactly the same. That is when she realized she had made a fatal mistake in being an open book. Loving so easily, trusting so freely, assuming the world was a mirror of her. Even though she had come to the point that she had realized these things she was still consumed in sorrow for all that she had allowed to happen and all the time she had lost. In her resiliance her sorrow turned to anger and her anger into strength. Strength to take what she had left and make what she could out of it. Eventually, through all her growth she had wings.
