The Kitchen

One pot chicken & rice. Sear chicken in oil for 6 minutes each side, lid on. Remove chicken, rest. Heat 3/4c water, medium-low. Dice carrots, add to pot with salt. Layer in 1/2c jasmine rice. Dice sweet potatoes, add to pot with more salt. Cover for ~20 minutes, until rice is cooked.

I don’t actually know how it tastes because it’s for my dogs. 🤣

Gardening

I put up some chicken wire albeit loosely thinking it would be enough for the squirrels to not bother but the spiteful fuckers went and put a bite into the remaining squash.

A little harvest from this morning’s walk around the garden 🌧️

I picked some tomatoes early to let them ripen on the counter. We’ve been getting so much rain that the ripe tomatoes are starting to split open on the vine 🍅

We’ve got red shishitos in the house. Time to blister them!
