BMW electric cars outsell Mercedes-Benz and Audi

We have somehow become accustomed to thinking that the largest German brands have given up on electric cars. Let's say Mercedes-Benz is once again investing heavily in the development of internal combustion engines, while Audi is going to discontinue the Q8 e-tron model, which simply does not enjoy the required demand among buyers.

In fact, in the first half of 2024, deliveries of BMW electric vehicles increased by 22%, while those of Mercedes-Benz decreased by a quarter and remained unchanged at Audi.

In absolute numbers, the progress also looks good, with deliveries of BMW's battery-powered models such as the i4 and iX1 totaling 107,933 units, while Mercedes-Benz's were at 45,800, more than double the gap!
