Had an interesting conversation with a friend who was lactose intolerant.

He started drinking Kafir which doesn’t have lactose. 

Now he can tolerate lactose.

Our working theory is the bacteria in the Kafir colonized his gut microbiome, which can help which gave him the ability to digest lactose.

I wonder if the friend stops taking kafir for a while if it could return
