If the President suspends a Governor and the Governor insists he can’t be suspended, what happens next? The president suspended the governor of Port-Harcourt, Nigeria. The 1999 Constitution does not grant this power. If a president attempts this, and the governor refuses to step down; •It’s unconstitutional and can be challenged in court. •The Governor can sue, and the judiciary would likely rule in his favor. •Only the State House of Assembly can impeach a Governor, not the President. •A legal and political crisis may follow, leading to public outcry. •The Supreme Court may intervene to uphold the Constitution.

You're spot on about the constitutional violation, only the State House of Assembly can impeach a Governor, not the President. I hope the judiciary will uphold the rule of law.
