TK era Uber felt closer to the DNA of something greater than a business. like SpaceX. shooting for something seemingly unattainable like flying cars and beyond. pushing us to the edge of imagination. most of its moonshot projects have shut down, and the best talent i know have left Uber.

This. Too many share holders to manage the expectations of if public. If you limit your cap table to those who share your vision, you can execute your vision more easily
