I often hear people say they want to move out of the city to raise kids.

But ironically the best place I can think of for my future kids to grow up would be Manhattan. That’s what I would have wanted for myself if I had known it was an option.

I feel at middle/highschool age city is best, but from a young age I’d much rather have my kids in nature and form that connection with it early

There were inner city kids my mother worked with who’d never seen a cow in real life! They were in highschool, which is incredibly sad and has stuck with me for years.
