For a text based platform, it sure seems like a lot of people have forgotten how important word choice is. People may not remember the exact words you said, but they will remember how it made them feel. When the community feels bad, demoralized, and demotivated, there is a problem.

i'm not surprised people say that. social networks warp us towards more drama. (plus i believe people that leave *you* answers want to be liked by you so they tend to say things they think you'd appreciate. the question looks neutral, but they know how you feel.)
