The entrepreneurs have the correct vision of the world, but by and large are the wrong people to bring it to life Good medicine puts the patient at the heart of everything Good business puts profits And the unfeeling grifty autists of SV are uniquely unfit to deliver care So it goes https://archive.is/Gy9HQ

Notice how all the head honchos at hospitals are MBA ppl and not doctors? ☹️ I used to sell to hospital systems so Head honchos: profit Drs: good patient care Incentives not aligned

Not at all. Your ancedote reminds me of COVID when all the hospital admins ran away to WFH while doctors dealt with overflowing hospitals. My friend worked in safety at a hospital during that time and talked about how the admins would zoom call in to admonish doctors for BYO PPE

I was in Queens in NYC when Covid hit, my hospital was 15min from JFK, started seeing patients in January 2 months before most except Elmhurst. We had 60 ICU pts with 20 beds. People were dropping like flies. Yet the admin in January refused to give us any PPE until April once it was declared while being home on zoom.

We ended up 3D printing face shields. Then worked with the Army medical teams to form a plan for all of the Queens hospitals. Why I get so mad when people bring up Covid denial.

Did you have to work with hospital safety for fit testing? I can't imagine how you felt. Seeing my friend in safety manage these people was a blackpilling enough
