what if we had an onchain media recommendation platform? i’ve been getting more and more annoyed with sites like Goodreads and Letterboxd for two reasons: 1) five-star ratings as a whole feel pointless and encourage snarky reviews 2) the people with the top reviews have tastes that might be totally different from mine what i want is a platform where people share books and movies, and if the recommendations resonate with others, they get rewarded

I realized that you mean an onchain “media recommendation” platform, rather than an “onchain media” recommendation platform. But both would be really cool!

I would use this, and I would enjoy answering some buzzfeed/cosmo style questionnaires to figure out my potential reader matches! I haven't read a book review from someone I didnt know irl since I read the Kite Runner and tossed it aside and never picked it back up after I was accosted without an f'n trigger warning. -- all that to say, and trigger warnings tailored specifically to things I want avoid for my recreational readings
