wanna feel weird? zone 2 exercise has never been shown to improve anything in a controlled study better than going vegan in fact, going vegan having drastic health benefits has more solid research than zone 2 workouts, when compared side by side but yeah keep sweating that sweat and negating this by eating a steak

Zone 2 running helped me to improve my recovery and have more energy during my workouts / jiu jitsu. I don’t know about vegan, but I’ve trained for more than 15 years, and for it is not bs.

are you completely certain it is zone 2 workouts and not anything else, like working out more consistently? how can you be sure?

Because I have been working out and training for more than 15 years. I have done different experiments on my workouts, diet, etc. Zone 2 cardio were easily the ones that I saw the most differences when I integrated with weigh lifting and jiu jitsu.

why do you think it's not weight lifting and jiu jitsu? why do you think it's not your diet?

That’s a good question, and I can easily answer that. Because when I change something, I only change 1 variable. I’ve been working out and doing jiu jitsu for a long time, my diet has been the same too, the only thing that I did differently was the introduction of zone 2 cardio workouts.

you do realize that only changing 1 variable outside of the controlled scientific setting is impossible, right?

I do, and do you realize that years of lifting + sports also allow you to have a better knowledge of your body, right? But tell me, what is your experience? What zone 2 or dieta change impacted on your sports?

And… have you tried zone 2 cardio workouts aligned with high intentisity workouts? The benefits of being vegan are quite different than the benefits I look for on the zone 2 workout, which is to maximize my cardiovascular performance. I wanna last a 8 to 10 min round on jiu jitsu. Zone 2 workouts are allowing me

By the way, feel free to post the links of some of the papers you are referring to. I do like to study, read papers and I can change my mind. I’m ok about trying new things

ser i think you're lying here, i don't believe you can change your mind and i also do believe you value your ideology over science (see how you're able to magically isolate one variable outside of lab setting) hence i won't continue this discussion as in my experience no amount of studies would change your mind
