I could do a long post explaining why this isn't just a covid effect with Dems switching back to election day voting or a Republicans targetting early voting effect. All I'll say is political scientists/analysts have predictive tools to disentangle these effects from an underlying swing. There's been a clear enthusiasm swing to Republicans in this election in early voting when those two effects are are controlled for.
