Looking over X the last few days, hard not to come away thinking this was a massive unforced error. The right has gotten a little intellectually lazy of late. They think, “yeah yeah big overeducated words, the correct argument is the most heretical.” Nope. Persuasion & holding a coalition together still matter.

Wasn’t it inevitable that a coalition of completely contradictory, merely contrarian meme views would fragment the moment actual governance took place? And that the mere contrarianism would simply resolve into the standard american economic liberalism, for lack of financial incentive to do otherwise in an oligarchy?
