The channel is growing rapidly, amazing and welcome all new members! Thinking about establishing some rules of engagement though to keep the channel engaging and to avoid that it turns into a link dump. Opening this up for discussion, but I will make some suggestions below!

I think we should encourage members to share posts that are more than a link and “mood” or “vibe” or “cool track”, but share a perspective or a bit of context to why the music was shared and why they think others should dig into the sound, the album, the track or the mix.

Self-promotion is of course ok, but not shilling of mints, even though conversations about the intersection of electronic music and Web3 culture are encouraged. Memes are cool too, but they have to relate to the core topics of the channel.

I think we all agree that even though some things falls into the wider spectrum of electronic music, most of us aren’t interested in the newest Timmy Trumpet or Steve Aoki shenanigans. Not to be snobbish, but this should be a place for exploration, whereas those things have already big platforms already on their own.

I personally think YT, SC and Bandcamp links should be preferred, streaming platforms only if no other link can be found - this is a question of accessibility, most streaming platforms require subscriptions some members might not have.

I would suggest that if posts do not meet the standards we agree upon, we point this out in a friendly way to the OP, posts that really fall outside of the spectrum might be deleted.

I think however the more the channel functions will expand, we might find other ways how to separate and highlight high quality content over things that might be not as interesting. Curious to hear everyone’s opinions!

I think all those are good points. The most important being quality and thought behind a post even if you are promoting your own stuff from time to time. Letting people know why it’s important to you and engaging the community feels authentic and adds value.
