farcaster vs mastadon? can someone summarize the high level differences between the two. finding a twitter alternative is becoming more imperative w/w

Farcaster is one system perpetuated by hubs, you own your identity. AFAIK things can be hidden in apps, but it’s difficult to totally remove data from hubs. Mastodon is a federated system, you have a homeserver you log into. That server is controlled by an individual. If that server goes down, you lose your account.
