The CMHC Premium will not be $70,000. CMHC has not determined the down payment rules regarding the changes. Current minimum DP on 1.5 is $300K (48K Premium). If they follow the current rules of 5% of 1st 500k and 10% of the remainder then min. would be 125K (55k Premium)
