Looks like your post was caught by /automod. 
I think you're right in pointing out the frustrating parts. Not knowing why your post gets hidden doesn't help either side! 
Big channels have the benefit of having a wide distribution. Many users are abusing this to boost their meme coin tips & allocations.

I’m one of those unelected dictators (not on /zk, but on /geopolitics and /science).

If I consider a post to be irrelevant to the channel, and it is not egregiously so (like shilling a coin), I will usually try to reply with an explanation, and then hide the cast quietly.
