If it’s important the spec to be compatible with clients that don’t support frames, why not just make og:image a requirements remove the need for of:image?

hey I see where you're coming from. I thought originally we could do with just a media property as well, but open frames is currently a direct mirror of farcaster frames plus some new tags to make them work with non farcaster contexts/signers. Farcaster frames have a required `fc:frame:image` property

we decided the best starting place is keeping things as compatible as possible with Farcaster, so as to keep things simple & easy for frames developers & apps that integrate.
