Another mock of what each warrior card might look like in the mini app. Warriors will age. Summon them young, train them, see them grow. Each one is unique: traits, stats, potential.. You can send them on missions (PvE/PvP), trade them as NFTs, or archive their legacy when they die. Sounds like a game you'd play?

When giving apps access to cast on your behalf, it's important to also be able to revoke access. TIL that the settings to do that is not available on the web version of Warpcast, but instead available on mobile. It's under settings > advanced on mobile > manage connected apps. Thanks @linda for the help to find it :)

For the past month or so, we've been working on a strategic idle clicker meets collectible economy sim mini app game, which should be coming out very soon. Which kind of ignited my desire to (yet again) create another game of my own. For a long time I've been thinking of this onchain warrior-clan sim where every character you summon lives, fights, dies. And I think it would fit perfectly in a mini app. Here is a sketch of a warrior, trying to turn it into a pixel art portrait.

Actions in games on blockchains are slower than web2 or traditional game engines. Yet, it's important to have those fast interactions to not break the gaming experience for players. Having VRFs (or any other random value generation) happen quickly is a must

Openchain's signature database is always useful for debugging smart contract calls. Something like: https://openchain.xyz/signatures?query=0xfb8f41b2 definitely comes in handy when a tx fails and all you’ve got is a cryptic error signature, plug it into Openchain and you get a human readable meaning.

We spend a lot of time during our calls with @samuellhuber.eth worrying about Warpcast/Farcaster, as if we were part of the core team haha. Feels like the confusion won’t go away until the rebrand is sorted. Personally think “Caster” could be a clean name… if the domain’s available 👀 @linda @v @dwr.eth

The 2025 meta for TS libraries: ship with flawless native types. Nobody wants to add @types/your-lib anymore. If your library isn't type-safe out of the box, it’s already outdated.
