Privacy is normal. Railgun uses the privacy pools protocol ( https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=4563364 ) which makes it much harder for bad actors to join the pool without compromising users' privacy. https://twitter.com/WuBlockchain/status/1779813061060391246

Doesn’t this pose a problem of its own? What authorities determine to be “bad actors” could be victims of heavy-handed government oppression—a maxim of “privacy for everyone but those deemed criminal” is subverted easily by a sufficiently authoritarian regime cc: /cypherpunk
