everyone wants to give you an identity on their kingdom. humanity will win whenever we have selfsovereign identities.

If someone is giving you an identity, they can revoke it whenever they please. I’m not interested in identities which are given to me. I don’t need anyone to tell me who I’m, I want to show up to the different places/platform with the identity that I want and be treated based on that base. @saymore done

Agree—a self-sovereign identity only lives up to the name if it can be discarded and replaced at will without any external permission requirement Anything less is just a rebrand of what we already have

This will be difficult to accept for people who believe it is important to be able to forcibly attach scarlet letters to people such that they are permanently and unavoidably excluded from respectability But having to discard an identity and start over is an adequate consequence to disincentivize criminal behavior imo

we built this w /icebreaker! we call them “cards” rn - but they are empty identity buckets for you to use at will and expose whatever data about yourself you want, and just as easily discard my main: https://app.icebreaker.xyz/cards/ZrfOmhEn3QewIAzaSErbA?key=kEFIt6o5HMCPlnRdWrrsF

Self sovereign identities is what we need. We don’t need any more service providers creating new accounts and calling them identities.
