Every artist in the world dreams of performing at the Grammys. Since I was a kid, I had been manifesting it, and two years ago, it happened. I was invited to perform with my favorite singer, John Legend.

I actually didn’t know what I was in for until about five days before the show. I couldn’t believe it when the CEO of the Grammys called and invited me to sing. I was in shock, but I was also exhausted. It all happened after cancer, a failed IVF attempt, and just as the war in Ukraine had begun. I performed, but mentally, I wasn’t ready for any of it.

After the performance, I wanted to hide and not respond to anyone. I ended up losing my voice for a month, too. My point is that our mental health and overall well-being are incredibly important. If either is struggling, we’re not truly ready to enjoy our dreams when they become reality. That’s why I will always be the biggest advocate for mental health.

Please take care of yourself—so when your dreams come true, you’re ready to enjoy them!

Thank you so much, everyone, for your support. It’s not easy to be vulnerable. After my performance at the Grammys, I even thought about stopping singing and quitting music forever, despite having sung since I was 9 years old. I asked myself a lot of questions while I was in the dark and realized that I needed help and should find a therapist. I’ve worked with her for a year, and it has been the best decision of my life.
I just want to remind you one more time: it’s okay to ask for help, and better days are ahead of us. ❤️

I'm speechless... Performing on the world's stage can be tough mentally, it's really strong to keep going on. The performance itself was phenomenal too in my opinion. You've sang since you're 9 and it shows.
