Looking for feedback on custom cast actions: - devs can let users add custom action buttons casts - when users press custom action button signed message is posted to the devs server reply here or comment on the doc https://warpcast.notion.site/Custom-Cast-Actions-df137f70d7d847578d4cd458703a8291?pvs=4

some popular ideas so far: - apps host a manifest file with all the supported actions so they're easily discoverable - context aware actions based on the channel, caster, cast content - actions that trigger additional interaction (i.e. open transaction, collect input)—what about returning an frame?

^ will read further into this but from a high level, this would be sick!! could even see a marketplace where you control the frames and/or cast actions that are allowed per provider

These should probably an extension on frames, and actions should be able to open frames. Would also consider how this abstraction could make sense in the cast composer interface to leverage actions there. Here's how we did cast actions in Mod https://github.com/mod-protocol/mod/pull/151

big fan of this, here's some actions I would support: automod - downvote/mute/undo - flag for review - exclude user from moderation others ideas /lp: tomato (aka downvote) /degen: tip paybot: pay 0.001, 0.01, 0.1 bountycaster: create bounty zora/manifoldxyz: create drop (if media attachment)

Would definitely prefer cast action metadata to live on external domains (similar to frames, I understand refetching is a concern) rather than using warpcast.com + query params since it will allow other clients to integrate actions more easily

love this! maybe Farcaster clients could send an HTTPS GET to an /actions route with `application/schema+json` header, describing all available actions for a given server provided by the server's action JSON object. the server would send back a signed message validating the actions in the JSON document.

feedback on the doc (can't comment) > registering actions I like the simplicity of a service registering a url with warpcast. Like the chatgpt plugin registry: url returns a manifest with a list of actions it supports, description etc. Would allow other clients to easily integrate as well. cont'd.

i. love. this. will users be able to browse and install custom actions? or is it a few pre-determined actions by warpcast?

- can you add new input for the signed action? - is this like 'installed frame' or something completely new?

this is cool! how do you envision users installing and managing cast actions on warpcast or other clients? once installed i imagine: user selects our custom action > bot replies to cast with frame for more options or confirmation

I could not be more stoked. this cuts down on the need to send casts when this could have just been an action. hypothetically, what's the max per cast? supposing the action is multisend. (and what does that imply for gated frames?)

love this idea. When I was doing This Week in Farcaster I really wanted a way to crowdsource tips. I would have made a cast action that flags the cast and counts # of tips to prioritize editorial followup.
