do you use any tools to manage windows in MacOS? spent years using the excellent tiling window manager xmonad and loved it but have never found a satisfying tool for Mac and rearranging windows / desktops (generally us 16" laptop w/ 32" monitor) with drags only feels glacial

haven't used windows in a decade but even back then it had some things like snap to half screen that I remember being useful

I use https://ianyh.com/amethyst/. Nothing compares to xmonad, but it's good enough for me!

Was using Yabai for a while but have defaulted to Raycast for the past year; its not as feature filled but getting there. This new feature they added is pretty amazing https://www.raycast.com/changelog/1-75-0

+1 to Amethyst, been using it for almost 10 years now. It has a 3 column middle layout that I find invaluable for using on an ultrawide. One adjustment I would make is going to settings, Floating tab, check Float small windows, and add System Preferences to the list of floated applications.

Used Slate for many years, but it’s now abandonware. Rectangle does everything I need it to, and is free + open source.
