Tried watching the new Matrix movie on a flight, couldnt get 10 minutes in. 

The awkward dialog between the main characters trying to set up the plot was unbearable cringe. What happened to subtle world building?

I watched this in theaters on the day of release and caught on pretty quick to what the movie actually was and found the whole thing absolutely hilarious, as did most in the theater.

The only thing I didn't like is that it broke some of my head cannon to explain away some of the derpy science by doubling down and making it even derpier, which I guess might have been the point 😅

The Matrix universe makes sense if the AI is using human brains as an efficient compute substrate. Powering the swarm with magical love energy took it all a bit too far 🤪
