the one thing disconcerting about that table is it looks like measured times are slightly superlinear. why does a 40m-gas block take more than 4/3 of a 30m-gas block to process?

no. currently geth is currently over 66% which is bad: a geth bug could finalize an invalid chain.

we need a second *fast, easy to operate* execution client to fix this. my best guess is that this will be reth.

if you recreate the table above, reth should smoke the other three.

Then we're assuming that Besu will be used by majority of the chain?
