why Farcaster channels ain’t hitting it:

Much needed discussion as we are still very early and a lot can change with scale. Right now we DO see a lot of the same faces because there aren't many active channels and when a connection creates a new channel their same followers want to support and join.

We DO need channel admins to take more ownership and lead the communities they started (esp. keywords snagged for squatting or future use). Or let inactive channels archive and go away.

From my side we are building a tool for channels to help surface members who want to engage and better connect with other members. We hope as more services like this are made available it will help channels find their footing.
