post profile reivew mega thread on learnings almost 70 profiles reviewed ranging in follower count from double to six digits. feedback has officially been sent to everyone who requested it. except for a few very niche cases, everyone's feedback fit into one of 9 broad categories thread below for the /growth curious

tag people into relevant conversations - whether it's someone high profile or a friend, this is a very easy way to make sure a conversation doesn't dead end and continues on to give value beyond simple replies like "thanks" or "cool"

cast in a mix of channels - large channels can give distribution, but small channels give focused attention. If you're only casting in one type you're likely to either get lost in the mix or never reach scale of audience respectively

more thoughtful replies - I hadn't considered this one until the review process, but I suspect tipping has let people offload cognitive work to monetary reward. But here's the thing - it's not the same. Even if you're going to tip (and feel free, this is not a stop tipping rn cast), helping people understand why or giving constructive feedback will generally speaking be well received and help gain you followers/reach

Solid point, but more often than not casts are hidden on channels, even more so for users without a power badge. What's your advice for new users casting in channels - or is their only option to live in the replies?
