almost 70 profiles reviewed ranging in follower count from double to six digits. feedback has officially been sent to everyone who requested it.

except for a few very niche cases, everyone's feedback fit into one of 9 broad categories

tag people into relevant conversations - whether it's someone high profile or a friend, this is a very easy way to make sure a conversation doesn't dead end and continues on to give value beyond simple replies like "thanks" or "cool"


cast in a mix of channels - large channels can give distribution, but small channels give focused attention.  If you're only casting in one type you're likely to either get lost in the mix or never reach scale of audience respectively

give context  - similar to the thoughtful advice above, but different in the sense that it's important to remember not everyone is in your cozy corner. This is particularly relevant when top level casting or sharing a new product through an automated link.  No one wants to see the exact thing 50 times in their feed, add context so people know why they should care and stand out from the crowd


Add personal expertise - so so many caster who are clearly smart and interesting not sharing their personal expertise!  This one was a bit of a shocker, but the review forced me to dig into profiles a bit more than I normally would only to find folks with deep knowledge not sharing it.  If this is you, I highly recommend sharing more about what you know whenever relevant for all our sakes <3


Take a stance - don't be scared to be wrong and learn in public. It's cool to share new things, but it's hard to engage if there's no stance being taken.  Whether it's a hot take, or simply agreeing with someone, you'll learn more and spur more conversation with other interesting people by taking a public stance (especially of the opposing stance can be reasonably taken as well)


Join big threads - pretty simple, if the attention is somewhere sometimes you just have to go meet it where it is


Give feedback - casters love feedback, but so many people seemed unwilling to give it.  No matter what you're knowledge base or expertise is, smart builders know we're all potential users and no piece of feedback is useless (even if it's not necessarily pertinent)


participate in more non-crypto interests - some of y'all just casting about tokens all day long.  There is no one in the world who is literally only interested in crypto.  Be a human, say more about the rest of the world outside of web3 to find your tribe members who want to engage with you

more thoughtful replies - I hadn't considered this one until the review process, but I suspect tipping has let people offload cognitive work to monetary reward.  But here's the thing - it's not the same.  Even if you're going to tip (and feel free, this is not a stop tipping rn cast), helping people understand why or giving constructive feedback will generally speaking be well received and help gain you followers/reach

starting with replies is a totally acceptable strategy and probably a good one

for users without power badges, the easiest way to get one is still to interact with products, give feedback, and tag related accounts

i.e. find a @hypersub you love, post or complete a @bountycaster , make a bet on @bracketgame , complete your @icebreaker 

so many builders here looking for user feedback which is something literally anyone can give

Solid point, but more often than not casts are hidden on channels, even more so for users without a power badge. What's your advice for new users casting in channels - or is their only option to live in the replies?
