Thank you @arjantupan for the confidence. I was inspired by tobacco and one of the works I have on the subject. I hope I managed to get a sticker for the contest. #creativepower6

May 17th is celebrated the day of the farmer in Cuba. The celebration for this day is always repeated every year, it is a day in which multiple traditional activities are carried out, both exhibition and competitive. This photograph represents a beautiful peasant girl as the leader of her team in an equestrian competition. This photo caught my attention because of the contrast of light and shadow between the figure of the horse, the girl and the flag. Here everything speaks of elegance, poise and dignity.

She covered her eyes: Useless eyes that do not know how to look beyond the useless reality. And she connected her essence with the fireflies with which the moon illuminates her. Now she wants to reincarnate as another moon in another solar system. If love allows it!

In the municipality of San Luis, where I live, a country town, it is not usual to see this type of automobile, what is more common are motorcycles, or carts pulled by animals. This is the car of a farmer friend of mine, and he has it very well preserved and well cared for. In the province of Pinar del Rio, Cuba.

WIP, Aquelarre is a work inspired by the mythical party whose tradition starts in the middle ages and in this painting I place it in the scenario of the fields of Cuba. I had kept this work for some time so I decided to take it out for an exhibition and give it some touches, so I was inspired again and changed some things in the painting as colors, and above all I worked on improving some aspects of the Moon. I'm still working on polishing some details, I hope you like it.

I captured these scenes while standing in line to buy bread at the bakery (something very common here, standing in line for bread), in another place it may be exotic, but in my small country town it is something very common to see. These carts pulled by oxen or horses are transports of work and cargo, and they make transversal crossings through the streets to shorten the way to the fields. Although these scenes are not uncommon, they are still picturesque.

This is a 60 cm x 40 cm work and here I made a pictorial version of “The Thinker,” by Rodin, the French romantic sculptor. My painting represents a person who is navigating an “edge” or a “limit”, where the rope in his hand waits for a decision.

Drawing in small format, made in gouache on cardboard, taking advantage of the humidity of the cardboard to obtain degraded effects. Some of the lines open and integrate into the background, while others reaffirm and outline the figures.

He was waiting for her. Even after the slow passage and almost dull passage of time, He also waited for her. He dressed streets and sidewalks, But she appeared flying without wings. Beautiful and ethereal, And she landed softly on his mouth. And he did not feel her specific weight, because he understood That love can do everything, And it can with everything!
