Does it have to be founders? I bet there already is a core group of friends and fellow travelers who would happily boost any announcements! It's such an easy way to help, people love alpha, and good people help good people.

I started a practice of writing weeknotes a few weeks ago. I've done this for nine weeks so far, and I'm looking forward to keeping the streak going! I did this because I wanted to pay attention to my attention. It's just too easy to doom scroll your way into different rabbit holes. But by having this weekly practice of taking a step back and selecting just five pieces that I've read that week, it's helped me to create a set of waypoints that I can come back to at any point. This is the most recent weeknote: https://paragraph.xyz/@dave/weeknote-week-of-2024-12-02 Drop a link below if you're also doing this! Would love to follow along.

5/5 I think everyone should consider joining or starting a giving circle. Wrote more about it here: https://www.thisisdavekim.com/notes/givingcircles/

4/5 I love my giving circle for a bunch of reasons. Here are my top three: - Meaningful and real conversations with friends - Discover new causes and organizations - Develop your personal giving strategy and think about how you want to show up as a good neighbor

2/5 What are giving circles? They're groups of people who pool their donations and collectively decide which causes to support. It's a great way to build a regular practice of giving and learn about different causes and organizations.

1/5 Giving circles are a powerful way to make a difference. Over the past 2 years, my giving circle has supported 18 organizations tackling critical issues. From housing insecurity to climate change, we're making an impact together.
