Iterating on some merch/apparel ideas for Higher, starting with a hoodie and jogger set. • sampling Blanks, 450 GSM / 19.5oz brushed fleece, made in Los Angeles • exploring IYK* chip integration on sleeve • small batch, possibly via slice.so or crowdmuse.xyz higher.lifestyle

These look great, I would buy a set! What’s the use case of a chip and how much does it add to the price? This is my favorite non-branded hoodie that I’ve gotten from a merch drop: https://madeblanks.com/products/varsity-hoodie

Appreciate the feedback; will keep you posted on how it turns out. Here are the modules they offer 👇, but honestly, I'm struggling on the use case for the chip atm. I reached out to their team for a bit of guidance. Chip is $2, another couple bucks for the patch and sewing, so doesn't add too much.

The use case stuck in my head is IRL-networking; have chip customizable by owner of garment so links to whatever they want; e.g., maybe I wear hoodie to FarCon and want to link to my Warpcast profile, maybe I'm going to a hackathon and want linked to my Icebreaker profile. @iyk x @icebreaker @datadanne.eth @j4ck.eth

Ah nice, that is much cheaper than what I expected! That is a cool use case, but it doesn’t happen often enough for me (I’m based in Sweden) that I wouldn’t want to pay a big premium for it personally. But at that cost it doesn’t matter!

Curious...can you think of anything that you would use an NFC chip for on a piece of clothing?
