I met lots of new Farcaster friends across several conferences 2-3 months ago, but due to Warpcast apparently changing the default auto-expiry period to 30 days, all the intro DMs I exchanged with them have since disappeared.

Anyone on the WC team know why some of my direct cast conversations are showing up empty? I thought it may be related to messages expiring, but there are def older conversations with history than the ones that are empty?

Yeah, I assume those 1 year timeouts were grandfathered in from before the timeouts were implemented.

For me, Some of them have a one-year expiration date, and some have a one-month expiration date. It's weird how it's customizable.
