to understand crypto's impact, don't just focus on the products of today. focus on the behaviors catalyzed by blockchain, that can influence how we do things tomorrow.

crypto applications haven't hit the scale where adtech is a thing *yet*. today's "adtech" in crypto is growth hack ways to try and kickstart a platform or network. the real tools get developed once the platforms form and scale. Warpcast probably closest here so far.

honest question: is signing up with email and getting a magic link to then insert numbers into a box a better UX than authing in with a wallet? 100% not.

an LP asked me the other day "where do you want your fund to be in 10 years?" and my response was "I want people to be able to look at our portfolio and think 'I love those companies'. crazy how in crypto (today) that's rare. Im excited about durability. not velocity. & believe that pays off.

one exciting part about agents is introducing conversational media. i think we're exhausted being told things by someone & agreeing or arguing about it on this platform. the ability to go back & forth with sourced agents, learn, argue, "change my mind" in a 1:1 is interesting.

future of news is an agent that can converse with you on topics you actually care about. can set prompts, sources but even more so, have sophisticated conversations on topics your curious about and want "expert" perspective on. should also change your mind.

one big, albeit seemingly boring, unlock for crypto's role with consumer AI is verification & verifiability. if agents move web interactions towards bot to code (vs. human to code), trust in transactions will become paramount. who & where you sign will have to pair UX with security at the speed of bot engagement.

Interesting to consider album politics (ie. if I side with a party, I accept all their beliefs), religion (which behaves similarly) and crypto -- where I think Bitcoin and Ethereum have fell mostly into this bucket. what are the best ways to maneuver crypto products/applications to parse things that matter versus servicing the collective whole?

observation: today's society wants to better understand, manage and control the system. we see this with DOGE, saw it with GDPR, saw it with public "shock" of the data google and FB had on us. with AI, it's even more data. if we, the people, want to manage & control our system -- we need blockchains.

with evolving regulation we'll see 2 things come to light-- 1) whether decentralization, DAOs, etc. were actually desirable, or circumvention to create in an undefined environment 2) realizing that these strategies were a major bottleneck towards getting more users into crypto https://x.com/nic__carter/status/1892210410004078639

while data may not be the moat in crypto, worth considering if data becomes *stronger* by way of crypto. meaning, you may not be able to monetize your business by leveraging user data, but you may be able to provide better data (ie. skin in the game) to buyers than what exists today -- cookies, polling, etc.

Interesting perspective for crypto -- what new behaviors become so undeniable that the former behavior suddenly feels archaic? the challenge is the attention put on what goes wrong versus what goes right. when today, there are many examples that have broken through & have a path towards a better option.

more products that evoke the emotions of crypto trading without the risks of losing it all.

are there any good socialfi apps that focus more on connecting/collaboration versus individuals (ie. pre-existing social following, influencers)?

soon (already?) the things that brought builders to chains will be table stakes. speed, tvl, UX... table stakes. what we're seeing in real time are the user behaviors on the chain are what is driving builder interest. can you build a meaningful company here? or will your product trade like a meme?
