same. esp for the ones from the library I copy entire passages - even if it is sentences that I just like because of the language used. Especially then. you never know when it comes in handy

Ironically, I’ve gone back to reading paper books, but am now taking notes of my Kindle. It’s the upside down world

this is incredible, I am a bit of an obsessive note taker as well have you found that taking notes digitally vs on paper impacts your retention one way or the other?

That's fantastic, 100% stealing your template! When reading on the Kindle, I highlight passages like there's no tomorrow but I'm a bit more precious when it comes to paper. I also find that note taking allows for thinking and processing time. If I'm able to elaborate on what I just read, I'm more likely to remember.
