My predictions about AI. There will be a lot of jobs that disappear and don’t come back. Most of this will be obscured or explained away by companies under various guises. Cost cutting. Streamlining. They won’t mention AI. And most people won’t actually notice it happening, and if it happens to them, they won’t be able to say it was necessarily AI that made it happen.

There will be one or two pieces of major marquee content that are produced with AI playing a huge role. A Sora produced blockbuster etc. There will be immense backlash to it and a lot of companies will announce they are canceling plans to use AI. They won’t actually cancel plans to use AI. AI will just shuffle softly and quietly into the background and will be another line item in the credits of a film.

Every company will eventually stop using “AI” in any of their branding, marketing or even listed product features. It will just *be there* and we’ll stop noticing it at all, really. It will be in pretty much every mainstream word processor etc. At that point, the debate about should creators use AI will likely drift to the fringes and nobody will differentiate.

I saw an extended demo of the tech in the Tom Hanks movie “Here” and I was blown away. They said it’s only possible because they have so much source footage of Tom Hanks due to his film career but give it 10 years and I’m sure we can deepfake anyone using these tools. I can’t wait to see how the public reacts to the movie.
