I remember these very old books that my grandmother had on the bookshelves and in boxes up in the attic, including 'Bland Tomtar och Troll' (Among Gnomes and Trolls). I spent hours gazing at the artwork. He really captured the essence of Nordic nature and its mysteries and mythology in a way that was very accessible, even for a small child.”

I'm waiting for a book illustrated by Bauer from the library interloan system based on this recommendation. The art is gorgeous.

Glad to hear that! Is this the first time you've heard his music? If so, you're in for a real treat when you listen to more of it. Pretty much everything he's released blows me away.

He's my all-time favorite musician in *any* genre.
