Moxiesplaining Journal Day 10: Easing the Way for Writers A few ways Moxie Everyday Rewards help make life easier for heavily time-constrained and/or cash-strapped writers on Farcaster: - Rewards aren’t directly tied to any particular subject matter specifics. This helps create more latitude for intrinsically motivated (but still paid) writing. - Distribution happens in the background; claiming is straightforward. No need to chase your earnings. The reduction in mental load and effort (compared to tipping tokens) helps free up that much more time and cognitive energy for writing. - Lowers the barriers for niche writers with modest followings to start earning, which can help them bootstrap small businesses. Less time spent pursuing uncertain funding sources (e.g., grants, prize pools, etc.) translates into more time for writing. How does Moxie make *your* life easier? (Moxiesplaining Journal is a daily window into my observations, learnings, and the view of Moxie from where I sit as a writer + editor).

Agree with all! It’s been great how automatic everything is, lets me focus on building, writing, and creating without having to give anything out. I can just engage normally as I would, knowing I’m fueling others as they fuel me ✨ I’d like to know more about the organic score and how it’s determined, the far boost for TVL is great, but most people new to the ecosystem can’t afford to invest up front. At least they can accumulate and overtime build their boost, so it’s a system that enables true creators to build into over time ✨

I've got to push back a little on that third point. I think you've described a very small percentage of people on here so it's the exception not the rule. There's no denying that you can earn money, but considering the current valuation of moxie it's a negligible amount for the time risk, and not guaranteed income either, which places it in a much lower category of writing income consideration for me. I think if you look at the amount of moxie earners, and then look at the number of those earners earning what would be considered minimum wage for the hours put in, i think you'd be surprised at how few there are actually earning above it. Obviously this is a currency without fixed valuation so that earning potential could change but currently it doesn't seem worth the risk for me to replace other better paid outlets for writing. And certainly not enough in almost all cases to bootstrap small businesses, or give you more time for writing (sorry don't hate me!) The other points you have made i agree with.

Moxie Fan Tokens are turning out to be a better-for-me savings plan than traditional fiat savings, where I'm more likely to use the money for life because life is expensive and makes savings hard. It's easier to justify holding the Fan Tokens because they're earning at a significantly higher rate than any traditional fiat savings account anyway. Daily Rewards are obviously great. I use some for fan tokens, but absolutely cash some out because, again, life is expensive - and my life is relatively cheap, but even so, my budget is stretched most months and Moxie has started to ease that some. And it's not just creating content that earns Moxie. I can ease back on some of the mental load of creating content and just browse for conversations that spark my interest because a good reply can get as much as or even more than the OP cast. So now I can take my time and work on what I *really* want to work on.

I'm honestly kind of trying to figure this out on my end. I can admit that I'm a very niche writer and my content isn't what the majority here are into. Kind of trying to find my way and keep faith that people will show up in time, but that can be really hard when you don't see the same kind of engagement as others do. I know I have to fight through the feelings of rejection and push. Getting there is just proving difficult.
