The single most useful thing you can do to help Farcaster grow is cast 1 thing a day in a channel. Especially non-crypto related. A link to a blog post in /engineering A song you think /electronic would find interesting. A long cast about your preferences for Japanese knives in /food.

This is generally how I use Farcaster because I enjoy the communities. But seeing it framed as “to help Farcaster grow” brings up feelings of: well I’m contributing content but what am I getting out of it? Followers that I plan to monetize? Not really my style. Neither is adding value for free. Not asking for a solution, just perspective, because I know monetizing is the end game. But what’s in it for people like me who don’t care to do that? Lack of incentive demotivates me from posting more because I end up feeling like it’s pointless. I don’t use social media much otherwise either so I don’t get the highs from likes and engagement. I get that as Farcaster grows, more opportunities blah blah blah. But I’m putting my personal life out here and as a private person it doesn’t always feel worth it. I guess social media just isn’t for me. 😅

I completely agree with you. I’m so happy to know that I'm not alone in having these thoughts. I also have kind of these thoughts so now I’m just trying to change my fixed thoughts. Of course I’m not judging your thoughts! Thx for share your truly honest mind and thoughts. It is works for me.
