JE SU S CHRI ST i had awful lags and throttles on my M2 Pro mac for like a year, and what I usually did was simply restart the laptop. i just spent like 10m investigating what's the actual issue. And it was stupid as hell. I use tmux+neovim and apparently I had like 10 nvim sessions opened in different tmux tabs, so that I can jump quickly from one project to another. I just closed all of them but one and I have an experience like I just bought a new laptop. WTF

this is `htop` now. Before, there was 19GB used in swap memory and it was constantly resizing that caused throttles in memory. And I also got warnings of "All memory has used, close an application". I'm feeling so stupid

another funny thing is that I was constantly putting myself into that loop after restarting the laptop by resurrecting my tmux with all nvim-persisted sessions π« π« π«
